The 2000GT is the car that proved Japan could build a world-class grand tourer, and the roadster is its rarest form: with Sean Connery too tall to sit comfortably in the coupe, Toyota cut the roof off a pair of cars specifically for You Only Live Twice in 1967, and no others were ever built. Mini GT reproduces it in 1:64 in white with the open cockpit exposed, chrome wire-spoke wheels on rubber tires, slim chrome bumpers and side trim, the long louvred bonnet with faired-in headlamps and auxiliary driving lights, and a period Japanese licence plate at each end.
